It's totally worth going to Facebook to read the comments...but if you'd like a shortcut, the road in the foreground was formerly East 83rd Street, in Bloomington, Minn. It has since been renamed Killebrew Drive, the street directly south of the Mall Of America. Partly because of the memories of The Met, and the joy of watching that man play in person, I always get a strong nostalgic pull every time I drive that route. There's never any real going back.

By the way, the first game ever played at Metropolitan Stadium was a 5-3 loss on April 24, 1956 for the park's first tenants, the Minneapolis Millers, to the Wichita Braves of the (AAA) American Association. The Millers were the top minor league affiliate of the then-New York Giants.
